Welcome to A Year of Humility
Every January, instead of making resolutions, I choose a theme to guide my year—a single word or idea that serves as my compass. It’s a tradition that has helped me focus on growth, connection, and purpose without the pressure of perfection.
In 2023, the theme was Simplicity. This year, it’s Humility.
Why humility? Because it’s the antidote to so much that divides us—pride, ego, and fear of the unknown. It invites us to admit what we don’t know, to ask hard questions, and to extend grace to ourselves and others. It’s also deeply tied to the topics I explore in my upcoming book, Jesus & Me: Questioning God, Life, and Everything in Between (releasing January 14, 2025).
What Is A Year of Humility?
2024 is about stepping back and asking:
How can we listen more and speak less?
What can we learn from those who challenge us?
How can we serve others without seeking recognition?
Through monthly themes, practical activities, and real-life stories, we’ll explore these questions together. From journaling prompts to acts of service, you’ll find ideas and inspiration to make humility a daily practice.
How Will it Work?
Here’s what you can expect:
Monthly Themes: Focused topics like humility in relationships, service, and leadership, with challenges and reflections to guide your journey.
Stories of Humility: Personal experiences (mine and yours) that remind us it’s okay to admit we’re still learning.
Community Conversations: Opportunities to share your own humbling moments and connect with others on the same path.
Exclusive Content: Downloads, journaling prompts, and behind-the-scenes insights into my book, Jesus & Me.
Humility is a journey, not a destination—and it’s one we’re taking together. Whether you’re here to reflect, grow, or simply try something new, this is your space to explore what humility looks like in your life.
Ready to begin? Stay tuned for our first challenge on January 1.
Let’s make 2024 a year defined not by what we achieve, but by how we grow.
